"God does not come into our lives on our terms,
but on God's terms!"
Reflection
Faith really comes down to an unwavering trust in a God who deeply loves us. When we sense faith in that light, there are some surprising perspectives that open up for us. One of these is: God does not come into our lives on our terms but on God's terms. In a world where the "I" is central and defines the game plan and agenda, for another to be the one in charge is a little uncomfortable. But in the world of faith, God is the creator, sustainer and the redeemer. As the "Twelve Steps" programs point out, it is God who alone can put order and meaning into our life. Faith helps us to realize that true freedom and liberation come by putting our life in God's hands and recognizing that God is there to break through in the wonder and mystery of God's ways. Our ways often lead to limitations and at times manipulating actions. A people of faith ponder Scripture and traditions to learn the ways of God and to find God in the terms of love, goodness, and beauty. In Christ we see the ways of God and ways of faith!
