LITURGICAL REFLECTION

Do you remember the old proverb, " God draws straight with crooked lines!"  Sometimes when we pause at a moment of transition, like the beginning of the school year, we tend to look back.  As we look back, we can recognize the strange hand of God who has worked with us through the down, difficult, and crooked moments in our life and successfully guided us to where we are now.  We look back in wonder and awe at how we not only get through those moments but that in fact we really did get somewhere.  God in a surprising and unexpected manner, touched and changes our life.  Looking back, we understand that a God who can truly trust, did not abandon us but actually was walking with us to this unique moment in our life at the present.  It sounds strange, "God draws straight with crooked lines: but doesn't that in fact play out in our life.  Take some to pray and ponder that proverb this week.
