Music Ministries

Coordinator of Music Ministry - Tom Kunkle

Coordinates the music ministry at St. Michael's. This includes:  planning  music, directing the adult choir, working with the Youth Choir Director, musicians, organists, cantors, sound technicians and working with the liturgical music enrichment of the community.

All of our music ministry groups are in need of new members to augment those already participating.  Please give serious consideration to sharing some of your time to enhance the music program at St. Michael's.

Adult Choir - Tom Kunkle

Meets every Thursday from 7:45 – 9:00 PM and sings at the 10:00 AM mass every Sunday from September thru May.  Anyone Grade 9 or older is eligible to participate.  No prior experience is necessary

Youth Choir - Sandy Harteis

Meets every Thursday from 2:45 – 4:00 PM and sings at the 5:00 PM mass every 2nd Saturday from October thru May and at special children's liturgies during the year.  Children in grade 2 thru 8 are eligible to participate.  No prior experience is necessary.

Cantors - Julie Hanlon

Lead the singing at all weekend masses throughout the year.  No prior experience is necessary and training will be provided.  Schedule can be adjusted to meet your needs.

Organists - Tom Kunkle

The organists accompany the choir and congregation in the sung worship of the community.

Musicians - Tom Kunkle

A variety of people share their musical talents at different times during the year to enhance the sung worship of the community.

Contemporary Music Group - Julie Hanlon

Meets every Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:00 PM and sings at the 11:30 AM mass every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from September thru May.  Anyone Grade 9 or oder is eligible to participate.  No prior experience is necessary.

Sound Technicians - Tom Kunkle

Operate the sound system at all weekend masses throughout the year.  No prior experience is necessary and training will be provided.  Schedule can be adjusted to meet your needs.

Funeral Choir - Tom Kunkle

A group of parishioners who have formed a choir to help support funeral liturgies of the parish with music.
